Under the leadership of Sheriff Patrick R. Engle, the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility operates a secure, efficient, and humane correctional system that meets all local, state, and federal standards. We integrate modern technology—including credit card bail processing and a victim notification system—to enhance safety and accessibility.

History:
Opened in May 2009, this $32.5 million facility replaced the outdated Judson St. jail. Designed by SMRT Architects, it supports future expansion with pre-built infrastructure for two additional 60-bed units.
